Darwin in Malibu is a comedy about Charles Darwin—120 years after his death—hanging out in a beach house overlooking the Pacific with a girl young enough to be his daughter. His peace is rudely disturbed when his old frind Thomas Huxley arrives, closely followed by the Bishop of Oxford. Darwin finds himslef entangled in an enthralling and thought-provoking comedy about God, science, and plastic surgery. You will be surprised at how this discussion goes between the father of evolution and one of evolution's most outspoken critics in his day.
Join us as we learn about Tennessee Repertory Theatre’s production of Darwin in Malibu. We’ll hear from Tennessee Rep Producing Artistic Director René Copeland, and actors will perform excerpts.
Produced in association with TPAC Education.
